			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;">It’s Friday my favourite day of the week because it means the end of the working week – hooray! Today isn’t just Friday though it’s the end of the current term which means for two weeks I get to work slightly shorter hours, plus this time I have a few days off which is good. I’ve booked Monday off, just because I wanted a day off and what better than to add it to Saturday and Sunday so I can have an extended weekend. We get next Friday and the following Monday off because they are bank Holidays due to Easter (love Bank Holidays!) and I’ve booked the following Friday off too. </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;">Work today has been so boring so far! I got to the point where I was so bored I just wanted to eat something but luckily I managed to push through it and instead drank two massive glasses of ice cold water as I remember reading somewhere that if you feel hungry have a glass of water first because more often than not you are actually thirsty rather than hungry. It seemed to work for a bit but then I did get hungry so I had my usual mid morning snack of a special k bar and a piece of fruit which has tided me over quite nicely. Only about 45 minutes till lunchtime and I have a nice ham and low fat cheese salad today so that should be nice.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;">So it’s almost the weekend and my mind really isn’t on work at all. I’m thinking about all the things I need to do and how I’m going to spend the extra time I’ve got over the next two weeks. One of the things I am going to try and do is a bit more exercise as I may as well make the most of my extra time and use it for a worthwhile cause. As I won’t need to come into work until a bit later I may attempt to fit in a swim before work on some mornings, they do an early bird swim at the gym between 7am – 8.30am. I usually get up at 7.10am anyway so if I get up at my usual time I could go for a half hour swim between 8 – 8.30am then come to work afterwards – one of the added bonuses of doing this is that the pool won’t be full of annoying children jumping on me as that is one of the things that gets on my wick most about going of an evening.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;">I am also thinking that on Monday I might try the Body Conditioning Class at the gym, I was reading about it today and apparently it is a modern step aerobics class. I used to love doing step years ago when I went regularly so I wouldn’t mind giving it a bash – it’ll probably kill me but I need to be pushed and it says it is suitable for all ages and abilities. I think if I can cope with that Body Design Class I did last week I can cope with anything!!!!</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;">Even if I can just do an extra half an hour of exercise each day on top of the Aqua Aerobics Classes I do know then that’s got to help. As much as I know that keeping an eye on what I eat helps with my weight loss I also know that my body seems to get the most benefit from exercise. I am treating this next two weeks as a short term experiment – I’m going to try new exercises and see how they affect my weight loss. Fingers crossed they give some good results – I shall keep you updated with developments as and when they happen.</span></p>

<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;">Well I’m thinking about what has happened today that I can write about and the most obvious thing is that I lost 2 ¼ lbs this morning. Yes I am on a diet, or as I like to call it a healthy eating plan, I don’t like the D word!</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;">Having tried Weight Watchers and finding that I wasn’t getting anywhere with that I thought I’d give good old fashioned calorie counting a go. I decided last Wednesday to join a website called Weight Loss Resources which is a calorie counting website which has a forum where members can offer each other help and support and gives you nutritional information and reports based on the items you input in your online food diary which you have consumed.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;">Today was my first weigh in and as usual I was full of a mixture of excitement and dread. I’d followed my calorie allowance quite closely, some days admittedly I was slightly under my calorie allowance but I hadn’t gone over on any days. So this morning I stepped onto the scales and was very happy to see that in the past week I have lost 2 ¼ lbs. Which is more than I had lost in any week whilst following Weight Watchers.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;">At the moment I am full of motivation to carry on following this healthy eating plan. Today I made myself a gorgeous lunch for work which consisted of watercress, shredded beetroot, rocket, iceberg, diced avocado and wafer thin ham cut into strips. This was the first time I have tried making this kind of salad, I drizzled it with some honey and mustard dressing and it was absolutely delicious. I followed it with an Activia Intensely Creamy Scrumptious Strawberry yoghurt and it was the best lunch I’ve had in ages!</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;">I’m not sure what to have for my evening meal but I am leaning towards pasta twirls with roasted Mediterranean Vegetables tossed in to it. I’m going swimming for 30 minutes later and then to Aqua Aerobics so I can get away with having some carbs when I get home as I will have burnt off quite a few calories.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;"> </span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;">Part of my reason for starting this blog is so I can track my weight loss journey, I hope I will be able to report back a loss each Thursday. I’ve got a long way to go till I reach my goal but hopefully writing down my progress it will motivate me when I have those days when it is harder than others.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal" style="margin:0;"><span style="font-size:10pt;font-family:Verdana;"> </span></p>
